I’m Vid Jovanovic and I’m 36 years old. I’m a teacher by profession and my passion lies in baking. I occasionally write for BakingBaron.com.
I have been baking since my early teens, when my grandmother taught me how to make a simple cake that you can find in any supermarket. My passion for baking grew as I got older and I started experimenting with different ingredients and recipes. My favorite thing to bake at the moment is a chocolate chip cookie cake, which has become very popular among my friends and family members.
I have always had a passion for baking and cooking, but it wasn’t until I moved to the United States that I discovered my love for it. In Serbia we didn’t have these amazing recipes like we do here in America—everything was made from scratch!
When I moved here, however, I noticed something: there were no sites for people who love to bake like me! Sure there are plenty of sites that focus on baking recipes and even some that focus on teaching people how to bake… but what about the rest of us? What if you’re not looking for recipes or tutorials? What if all you want is someone who understands what it feels like when you’re sitting at your kitchen table with flour up to your elbows because you can’t stop making cookies? That’s why I decided to start my own blog BakingBaron.com.
